Robert Ramsay Currie, BSc FRICS IRRV;
A Chartered Surveyor, Robert has an extensive knowledge of commercial and residential property. He is an Associate Director in a firm of property consultants based near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and resides near there in Cadmore End. Robert joined the Board as a non-executive Director in 1995, has served as Chairman since 2009.

Michael John Stannard
Mike is Finance Director of a design, brand and intellectual property services consultancy and Managing Director of its trademark attorney subsidiary. A resident of Chesham, Buckinghamshire, he is a Chiltern District Councillor for the Chalfont St. Giles ward. Mike has been a non-executive Director of the Society since 2005 and is currently Chairman of the Audit & Compliance Committee.

Ian George Powell
A resident of Chorleywood, Ian is a Barrister with a broad legal and career background who now works for a London based farming, leisure and real estate investor. He joined the Board as a non-executive Director in 2009. During 2011, Ian was appointed Chairman of the Risk Committee and joined the Remuneration Committee.

Ivan James Gould
Ivan has been Chief Executive of the Society since 2009. He is a Fellow of the IFS School of Finance and holds an MBA from Henley Management College. He has spent the whole of his career in financial services and property and has significant operational and business development experience.He lives locally in Beaconsfield.

Rajeshkumar Kantilal Patel BA(Hons), FCCA, A qualified accountant with 10 years’ experience of the financial services sector, Rajesh spent three years in the Channel Islands as Country Financial Controller for one of the World’s largest financial institutions. Having relocated back to the UK, he currently lives in Marlow. Rajesh has been the Society’s Finance Director since 2010.

Stephen Scott Nichols
Co-opted to the Board as a non-executive Director in February 2012, Steve was formerly Head of Treasury at Britannia Building Society. Having worked in the building society sector for 24 years, he brings a wealth of experience of the sector and specifically of finance and treasury matters. He was a Trustee of the Britannia Pension Scheme for 10 years and is also Deputy Chairman and Treasurer of Rossendale Trust, a registered charity based in Cheshire. Steve lives near Leek in Staffordshire.

Robin Thomas Bailey
Co-opted to the Board as a non-executive Director in December 2011, Robin is a former Divisional Director of Nationwide Building Society and served on the boards of a number of its subsidiary companies; as such Robin has extensive experience of the building society sector in particular and of financial services in general. Robin is a director of the Swindon economic development company Forward Swindon Limited. He is also a Director of Farmor’s School, a company limited by guarantee which operates a Gloucestershire comprehensive school near his home in Castle Eaton.
