The Role
The Buckinghamshire Building Society is looking for a driven, experienced individual to join its busy Operations department. In this challenging and varied role, you will be a key member of the Executive Committee and be responsible for the Mortgage and Savings operations function. The main responsibilities of the Head of Operations will include:
- Responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction of Savings, Mortgage Operations, Underwriting and Arrears.
- Shape and manage clear operational change roadmap aligned with, and enabling the Society Strategy.
- In conjunction with other members of the Executive Committee contribute to the development and implementation of the strategy/financial plan.
- Shape and manage forward change agenda for Society operations agenda – in line with, and to enable, Society strategy and in collaboration with Society transformation team.
- Provide oversight of all day-to-day operations including ad hoc system and project work including initiation, management, and implementation.
- Effective management of all complaints including resolution, root cause and timely reporting.
- Effective oversight of operational resilience including incident management, resolution and implementation, disaster recovery, business continuity management IMT/CMT.
- Effective strategic management of marketing team to provide first class external communications that enable the Society Strategy.
- Nurture a team culture that is fully aligned to the Society Values.
