Mortgage Administrator

Permanent Position, Full Time (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm)

The Role

The Buckinghamshire Building Society is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join its busy mortgage department. In this challenging and varied role you will be a key member of the administration team, assisting in processing our mortgage applications from initial application to completion. It is a great opportunity for someone with excellent administration and customer service skills who is seeking an interesting, varied role in financial services. There will be professional study opportunities for the successful applicant.

The main responsibilities of the Mortgage Administrator will include

  • General office administration
  • Accurately inputting data into bespoke data management systems and Excel
  • Communicating with the Society’s customers, both current and prospective, and providing required information in a timely and appropriate format
  • Undertaking all aspects of mortgage administration relating to new, existing and redeemed mortgages in accordance with MCOB for regulated loans
  • Proactively following up with solicitors, brokers etc to request additional information where required

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous  experience of working in an administrative capacity within an office environment
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work as part of a team and liaise with various other departments within the business.
  • A can-do attitude and active team player prepared to “got the extra mile”
  • The ability to react quickly, calmly and professionally in a busy office
