The Society is experiencing an exceptionally high demand for mortgage applications which has come at a time when many staff are still working at home and during the peak holiday period. We are working hard to reduce these timescales and expect them to improve over the coming weeks. We have introduced some measures to ensure cases are processed as quickly as possible:
If a case is received that has not been through our DIP process this process will be applied and could delay the application up to 5 working days
Please ensure that the application is accompanied with all the referencing requested at DIP stage together with the signed declaration and direct debit form. Underwriting cannot start until all the references are in and we have a valuation report.
We will request the valuation fee and instruct the valuation up front.
All cases are being dealt with in strict date order with no exceptions
Please try to keep calls chasing cases to a minimum as this holds up processing for everyone.
