Buckinghamshire Building Society recently donated a £1000 to adopt a Dial-a-Ride bus. The Society recognises that not everyone in the community has access to transport and how important it is for the elderly and vulnerable to be able to get out and about and be able to meet people or attend appointments.

We were impressed with Dial-a-Ride’s commitment to providing affordable transport to those who are unable to use more traditional services.  By providing these funds it allows Dial-a-Ride to maintain a van and continue offering this valuable service.

Paul Binsted, Dial-a-Ride volunteer says “We were so pleased that Buckinghamshire Building Society decided to pay for the maintenance of our van.  As a volunteer driver I know how much people appreciate our help in getting them out and about and we are always happy to hear from people who would like to use our service.”

Jill Carpenter, Buckinghamshire Building Society Marketing Manager says “We met the staff at Dial-a-Ride and were so impressed by their commitment to their service and the benefits that their customers gain from being taken on outings and visits.  We were delighted to be able to offer our support for the maintenance and care of one of their vans”
