New Chief Executive Officer announced at the Society
Introducing Gerard O'Keeffe.
Robin Bailey, Chairman of the Buckinghamshire Building Society, announced “We are delighted to have Gerard O’Keeffe joining us. He has over 30 years experience in financial services including 16 years at AIB in the UK in various positions, latterly as Head of Allied Irish Banks (GB), which included the retail, commercial and corporate banks. Gerard is joining us at an exciting time for the Society. We believe he will bring a new perspective to our business, and with his wealth of experience he and the team will take the Society to the next phase of its growth.”
CEO Andrew Craddock has announced his departure from the Society, and we are pleased to announce Gerard O'Keeffe will replace him as CEO from 19th November.
At the end of November after 4 years at the helm, Chief Executive Andrew Craddock has announced he will be joining the Darlington Building Society as Chief Executive. Subject to regulatory approval, Gerard O’Keeffe will become the new CEO of Buckinghamshire Building Society.
Chairman Robin Bailey remarked “Andrew has been a remarkable leader, developing the Bucks into a modern, successful and financially secure business and at the same time keeping our mutual ethos of putting our members at the forefront of what we do. We are extremely grateful for his efforts and the board and I wish Andrew all the best in his new role at the Darlington.”
We are proud to be one of the five founding investors of the new Heart of Bucks “Community Investor Fund”, which was launched on 4th November 2020. The fund enables businesses to support the community where they work, helping the Buckinghamshire organisations, community groups and charities that need support following a turbulent year.
We have made a donation of £250 to Bucks Search and Rescue (BSAR). This contribution will help the charity continue to provide essential support to the Buckinghamshire community. Volunteers from the charity are available 24/7, 365 days a year to assist Thames Valley Police in looking for missing people in the region.
