The Society has donated £1,000 to Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC), In lieu of the usual Christmas collection of goods for the charity.

This year, as many of our staff are working from home it has not been practical to arrange our annual collection for WHC, and further the charity is not accepting donations in the usual way due to the Coronavirus pandemic, so a financial contribution felt the best way to show our support.

Throughout this turbulent year, it remains essential that we continue to support local community initiatives in Buckinghamshire, such as Wycombe Homeless Connection, as we have done throughout 2020.

Heather Stanley, Fundraising Manager at WHC has said: "Wycombe Homeless Connection is hugely grateful for Buckinghamshire Building Society’s ongoing support and generous donation. It has been an especially hard year for everyone, and in particular, for people who don’t have a home of their own, somewhere to ‘stay home and stay safe’. We have been working harder than ever to ensure no one has to sleep on the street, or becomes homeless in the first place. We can only continue to do this vital work, and support people in our community who are so often pushed aside, because of your support. Thank you very much."
