Can I transfer funds electronically?
Yes, MyBBS now allows you to make requests for an electronic transfer to your nominated bank account, providing you have set this up and provided us with proof of your nominated account in the way of a bank statement or cheque. Internal transfers to another account with us in your own name can also take place subject to terms and conditions.
How do I set up my nominated bank account?
If you are new to MyBBS, you will be required to enter the details online at registration. You will then be required to provide proof of your nominated bank account before any transfers can take place. Is there a limit to the amount I can transfer?
You can transfer up to £5,000 in total per day. Minimum transfer is £100.
If I request a transfer, how long will it take to appear in my nominated account?
Transfer requests received before 14:30 Monday to Friday will be processed the same day. After this time, transfers will be processed the next working day. Please note transfers placed during weekends and bank holidays will not be processed until the next working day.
How do I make an electronic transfer?
Simply log in to MyBBS as usual and click on ‘Transfer’. Select ‘electronic transfer’ from the options and enter the amount you would like to transfer. We will ask you to enter your password for extra security – please use your MyBBS log in password.
Can I make electronic transfers from any of my accounts?
All accessible accounts that permit withdrawals have access to electronic transfers, however please note, for notice accounts a penalty will apply for immediate transfers. For non-immediate transfers notice will be applied as per the terms and conditions for that account. Accounts such as Bonds, SIPP’s Power Of Attorney, Children’s accounts and those requiring dual signatory do not permit this type of transaction. If you are unsure if your account permits electronic transfers, please contact us.
How do I provide proof of my nominated bank account?
You can post in a copy of your bank statement to: Buckinghamshire Building Society, High Street, Chalfont St Giles, HP8 4QB. Once we have received proof we will then allow transfers to your nominated account.
