The Role
The Buckinghamshire Building Society is looking for an enthusiastic skilled individual to join its busy IT department. In this challenging and varied role, you will be a key member of the team, assisting in the smooth running of the department and ensuring that the internal needs of the Society are met at all times. It is a great opportunity for someone who is seeking an interesting, wide-ranging role within IT. Some experience would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided to the right candidate.

The main responsibilities of the IT Technician will include:
- Monitoring the IT helpdesk function to ensure that any issues are dealt with promptly and that staff are kept informed of progress and any unavoidable delays.
- Assist with troubleshooting & effective fault resolution of all technical issues including network, PCs, Thin Clients, telephones, printers etc. as required.
Monitoring of Society systems including Microsoft Azure, Intune and Defender Security Console - performing and recording daily processes and checks in line with agreed procedures. - Provide first line support for Applications including Microsoft Office and company specific software (e.g. Provision, Whistlebrook)
- Set up and configure new users and all hardware (providing 1:1 training for new joiners on basic computer logging on, telephones etc)
- Assisting with the day-to-day IT activities of the Society, such as; data input, banking printouts, payments, reports & month end process as required.
- Provide assistance with facilities management as directed, including assisting with fire system tests and H&S assessments as necessary.
