1. WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE PROCESS?
 
This will depend on the product or service you apply for and obtain from us and if your application is successful. Personal information that we generally process includes your name, address, date of birth and contact details such as your email address and telephone number. Our full Privacy Notice has more details. We will generally collect your personal information from you directly. If you are a mortgage customer introduced to us by a broker or intermediary we will obtain information about you from them. Additionally information will be obtained from other sources such as Credit Reference Agencies (www.experian.co.uk/crain; www.equifax. co.uk/crain and www.transunion.co.uk/crain), HMRC, and other publicly available information.

2. THE LEGAL GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Data protection laws require us to justify our processing of your personal information.

- We need your personal information to perform our contract with you or take steps to enter into the contract with you

You should contact us without delay so that we can update our records. If you were introduced to us by a broker or other intermediary who is a data controller in its own right, you should contact them separately. In some cases where you exercise rights against us under data protection laws we may need to inform the broker or other intermediary but this will not always be the case.

5. DO YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO US?
We are unable to provide you with a mortgage product or savings product or to process your application without having personal information about you. Your personal information is required before you can enter into the relevant contract with us, or it is required during the life of that contract, or it is required by laws that apply to us.
