On Thursday 23 April 2026, members, colleagues and guests came together at The Hub in Chalfont St Peter for the 119th Annual General Meeting of Buckinghamshire Building Society.
The AGM is one of the most important dates in our calendar. It’s a chance to look back on the year, share how the Society is performing, and hear directly from the members who shape our future as a mutual.
During the meeting, our Chair and CEO reflected on the year’s financial performance, the progress we’ve made as an organisation, and our plans for the future. Their updates reinforced our continued focus on long-term sustainability, delivering value for members, and investing in our people, technology and communities.
These discussions also highlighted the values that have guided us for more than a century: putting members first, acting responsibly, and making decisions for the benefit of the Society as a whole.
During the AGM, we were proud to share examples from the past year that demonstrate our values at work, from supporting local charities and community initiatives to introducing improvements that make saving and borrowing easier and more accessible.
As a mutual organisation with no external shareholders, every decision we make is guided by what’s best for our members. That principle has remained unchanged since our founding in 1907.
We’d like to thank all members who took part in this year’s voting process, whether online, by post or in person on the day. Your involvement is vital in ensuring the Society remains transparent, accountable and truly member-led.
