Every year, Buckinghamshire Building Society makes a donation to a local charity in association with our partners, Heart of Bucks. In 2023, our members voted to award our annual charitable donation to AgeUK Buckinghamshire.
For over 70 years, AgeUK Buckinghamshire have been dedicated to supporting our local community as they encounter the challenges and demands of growing older. As an independent charity, they offer a variety of services that cover a broad spectrum of topics and issues. With the help of over 240 volunteers, they are able to deliver services to the older population including everything from gardening to technology lessons, housekeeping to hospital discharge support and opportunities to tackle loneliness to providing invaluable information and advice whenever it is needed!
We’d like to thank Mark Russell, the CEO of AgeUK Buckinghamshire, for joining us at our 117th AGM, held 18th April 2024 at The Hub in Chalfont St Peter, where he was presented with a cheque for £5,000 by the CEO of our Society, Dan Wass.
We’re thrilled to be able to support this charity and we are looking forward to seeing them continue to look after those in our community, when they need it the most.
