WizeUp are aiming to change this by making financial education accessible from a young age.
Bringing their courses into schools and speaking directly with students, this charity supports and engages with young people at a pivotal point in their lives; before they even embark upon their careers or start university.
The courses offered by WizeUp introduce topics such as budgeting, credit ratings and general taxation. There are also other options such as sessions to develop presentation skills, interview techniques, and CV writing. Not only does this wide range of courses create the opportunity for schools to uniquely tailor the sessions for their students, but it also provides a vital service in ensuring that this next generation are financially literate and employable.
Buckinghamshire Building Society have been sponsoring WizeUp for over five years and we continue to be impressed by the difference Ed Flack has been able to make with his charity, so much so that we've extended our partnership through the 2023/24 academic year.
